About AirfieldFinder
Built by a GA pilot to help fellow aviators discover what's worth landing for.
What we do
AirfieldFinder helps UK general aviation pilots plan fly-out destinations across 175+ airfields. We bring together restaurants, hotels, and attractions near each airfield along with transport times, TripAdvisor ratings, live weather, and detailed runway data — everything you need to decide where to fly next.
Our data
We combine multiple authoritative sources to give you a complete picture of every airfield:
- NATS AIRAC data for airfield operations, runways, frequencies, and instrument approaches
- OurAirports for supplementary airfield information and global identifiers
- TripAdvisor for nearby venue ratings and reviews
- Community contributions for tips, corrections, and local knowledge
Data quality
Accuracy matters when it comes to aviation. We maintain data quality through automated AIRAC cycle updates that follow the official 28-day publication schedule, community error reporting so pilots can flag issues they spot, and continuous validation against official sources. When discrepancies arise, we investigate and correct them promptly.
Safety notice
AirfieldFinder is designed to help you discover destinations, not replace official flight planning tools. Always verify with official sources (NATS AIS, NOTAMs, airfield operators) before flying. Airfield availability, runway conditions, and operational status can change at short notice.
Community
